​Decontamination Vehicle

These specially outfitted decontamination trucks support local units of government to allow fire departments to provide expedient mass decontamination of victims at the scene of hazardous materials or weapons of mass destruction incident. Twenty-five identical units are deployed throughout Illinois. Each is supplied with materials to process 200 initial victims. Cook County Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) participated in this purchase with three of the 25 units.

Capabilities: Mass decontamination – up to 200 people with supplies on board. Shower and hygiene facilities. Exterior, under-awning, misting nozzles for cooling.


​Generator Light Tower

​20 Kw diesel-powered with 4 – 1000 w floodlights.


​Divisional Expedient Shelter Systems

​Trailer with one Western Shelter tent and HVAC. Space for additional equipment. Each tent accommodates 20 responders.


​All Terrain Utility Vehicle

​6 X 6 Polaris Ranger on trailer. Can tow its own trailer.


​Mobile Ventilation Units

​100 hp fan motor on elevating, rotating, and tilting stalk. Used for hi-rise ventilation, confined space ventilation, mass decontamination/cooling (with an attachment for hose), toxic gas dissolution, etc.


​Double Deck Boat Trailer

​One inflatable and one rigid hull boat with 40 hp motors and safety/rescue equipment.


​Incident Management (IMAT) Supply Trailer

​Carries Incident Management forms and supplies for deployed teams.


RAD 57

​Portable, battery operated carbon monoxide meter. Analyzes the percentage of oxygen and CO levels in the blood. 


​Porta Count Fit Test Machines

​Provides accurate fit testing for PPE, SCBA, and Millenium masks. 


​Area RAE

​Monitors/Analyze air quality and travel distance of unknown “plume” of an hazardous material in and around an incident.


​HAZMAT ID

​Computerized device that analyzes unknown solid or liquid substances.


​Sector Scan Sonar

​Provides down-looking sonar to locate and identify underwater structures and items.
